Well, Windy, my younger sister, left yesterday. And I wasn't expecting this, but I got so sad after I said goodbye that I started crying as I was walking in the airport. I was so homesick the rest of the day that I had to go to the bathroom a couple times to bury my face in my towel and cry like a baby.
But I guess it's just one of those things.
I feel a lot better today.
Here are some photos of me being an NYC tourist with my sister:
(At the top of the Empire State Building.)
(Grand Central.)
That scarf that she's wearing is a belated Christmas gift I finished after she got here. I made her model it for me the other day:
It's really long---over 70".
And it's a foot wide.
She told me she wanted it this one time we were waiting at the Coach store. This lady walked in with a similar scarf, and Windy said, "That's the scarf I want. So, you better get on it.'
I'm not good with deadlines.
I'm also worse when I have no deadlines.
So, yeah.
That's that.
Here are a few other random photos of some shirts I've sewn since yesterday. And other stuff.
Oh, and here's this photo of me when I had this REALLY bad hangover.
(I couldn't stay in bed all day long like I wanted to, though. I had to keep on truckin' and take Windy shopping...)
I got sorta belligerent the night before...
K sorry for all the photos, but I missed you, friends!

that photo of the two of you is AH-DORABLE
I know what you mean about homesickness. I tend to block it out (or maybe I don't experience it?) when I'm in London...but I've found I never want my family to drop me off at the airport again. It's too hard. I'd rather drive myself than to have to watch them stand there behind security, and to have to keep looking over my shoulder to see if they're still there...eh. It's too much sometimes.
p.s. really like the shirt with the hands on it!
I'm lovin' the new stuff you're doing, too. All those shirts are just great.
can you believe i read the whole post?
i never do that. i usually get sidetracked by something shiny.
the other day, on the way hopme, i wanted to make snow angels on strangers lawns, but then i saw a giant dog poop. i was afraid i would lay on one if i did, so i decided not to.
Your sister is exquisite. I tell you that all the time, but she just is. She is one of the most attractive people I have ever seen.
I cry when I miss my brother. We grew up together, just 1 year apart or so. So...I feel this. Sometimes at night I cry because I miss him so much. He travels around with Disney on Ice. I don't think he has any idea that I cry cos I miss him, though. Ha! He wouldn't believe me if I told him.
:)
I usually just do another knot and then cut the yarn. That's the only way I know how. I've been MEANING to look up how to do a nicer finish on KnittingHelp.com.
(If you don't already know of that site, check it out. I love it!)
