I keep saying I'm going to learn how to do this but I hesitate to use up my wire for it at this point in time. Regardless, should I decide to do so, Delia Stone offers tutorials right out of her Etsy shop!
This tutorial gives me a LOT of ideas. Unfortunately i think i'm coming down with something, AGAIN (we've had about five different kinds of flu and cold strains running through our little Portland scene here as of late. I've already had the "produce more snot than a single human should" cold, TWICE, and now i've got that "oh god this one's gonna hurt" cough...
Not so good. Pray! I really can't afford to get sick. I have a lot of stuff to do in the next few days and weeks, including getting my orders completed and delivered - I've finally gotten brave enough to start posting my jewelry on tribe.net, where I spend a lot of time (as one person has called it, it's basically a "myspace for hippies"). I was always SO shy! And mostly because I have a lot of metalsmith friends, superubercrafty folks... I was afraid my stuff would look terribly primitive compared to the art they're all cranking out. But, response has been good so far and hopefully soon I'll be able to start dressing my friends a little.
I'm also getting an order ready for spring shopping season at Imp, a wonderful gift shop in my neighborhood here in Portland. She has exquisite taste, and she's one of the NICEST people ever. Truly. I love selling my work through her and hope it's once again a profitable endeavor for both of us.
And tonight? Tonight all I really wanna do, I think, is relax and knit. But instead, I'm going to go hang out with a cutie for a while. I must be crazy.
