I must say I am really impressed with Estelle.. she can sing / Rap, and isn't turning out the turgid 'by numbers' R&B that Mariah and the rest of them are peddling, and the retro rubbish that we are having to endure with Duffy, Adele, & Amy.. when I first heard the record on the Radio I thought it was one of those little Canadian style singer songwriters with the twee little voice, and it is very catchy and not at all what you think it will be... I saw her live on teli the other night and she was really good, although the band were a bit muso,,, a bit Mary J, a bit Fergie, all with her own 'stamp', well done!!! I was reading that after a small UK hit 8 years ago her label here didn't know what to do with her and she gave up and relocated to the USA where she pushed her own career, brilliant. At least I'm not the only one trying to do something new with Soul Music! If I have to listen once more to that dreadful Adele I'm going to go over to the Brit School and punch her teacher's arseeeeeeee.
