blimey that new Portishead stuff is a bit Einstürzende Neubauten... what can you say, the 80's lives!! although whole tracks with industrial sounding drums, a bit of esoteric singerey does not a songeth maketh, but it is good to see people's trying something different, .. I can't anything against them just because they are from near Bristol... non chatteries from me thus-evening (I am sounding a bit Clockwork Orangey here aren't I, perhaps I should start my own language - Esperanto where are you ??)... I am really quite excited about my vidj bits and bobs slowly coming together, and have bought some software to start up-dating my website(s) today, cos the web people I have all been spokenning to (Clockwork - stop it) are all useless, and too expensive, and who wants some corporate looking rubbish, personally I would prefer a short film of a mouse eating a piece of cheese, but can any of them do this??! Here are stills from my new video coming up, once I get over some technical difficulties (like trying to stop my taught lovely tummy looking like ten-ton-tessie on film)..

I've lived through the Seventies and the Eighties and they were both brilliant for music. Quite liked the Nineties too (Oz had a Smiths indi guitar band revival and the dance music was pretty cool, and I really got into Acid Jazz.)
It's no wonder these Ygen kiddo's are so bitter. It's all been done, and done really well.
I don't know why you want to fuck with the web site. I like it.
It's a bit 'punk.'
you're not knocking Tin Machine now are you Dave, they we're abysmal at the time, but suddenly have taken on a rosy hew in comparison to the dismal drivel we are fed everyday..
the web site is still gonna be quite lo-fi, (to reflect my ofcourse deeply ingrained eerrr... punk ethic), its just that I'll be paying a lot more for it, and that eerr ,, makes it credible (makes sense ??!!)
xx
take care
kisses from across the Ocean (I am sailing, I am sailing, blah de blah blah, through the seas, I am saili.........................)
But there is no denying that Tin machine was a reaction to 'lets dance, put on your red shoes and dance the blues...'
Lots of artists seem to do this...
Oh my god they love me...
Which means I must be doing something wrong!
I'm not lovable.
that last album was a cry for help.
Oh my god Nike is using the single in an advertisement.
I must do something unexpected, sparse, and atonal.
It's not like I need to cover the rent any more.
Maybe an album of cat fart samples layered over dirty German electro.
That'll fix those teeni boppers.
if only Girls Aloud would do this... (do you have them over there ??)
