Bones: TV Series, Books, and Musical Video

I love the Temperance Brennan mystery book series, written by Canadian author Kathy Reichs.  I was surprised to find out not too long ago that her series of books have been appreciated by "Hollywood", and thus they began making a tv series based on the characters, and it is entitled "Bones" (although some of the details in the books, such as where Temperance actually works and lives, etc have been changed...but since you only have an hour to tell a story on a tv series, a lot can't be followed to the letter concerning Kathy Reichs' actual books).  Brennan is a female forensic anthropologist who normally teaches at the University in North Carolina, and then spends in winter breaks working at the medico-legal complex in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.  The tv series has taken a little license in changing some of the details of her life and the man she is attracted to (who happens to be a homicide detective in Montreal....not an FBI agent, as in the tv series).  Regardless, the books are great...and now I find that the tv series is really quite entertaining to watch. 

From executive producers Barry Josephson and Hart Hanson comes the darkly amusing drama Bones, inspired by real-life forensic anthropologist and novelist Kathy Reichs. Forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance Brennan, who works at the Jeffersonian Institution and writes novels as a sideline, has an uncanny ability to read clues left behind in a victim's bones. Consequently, law enforcement calls her in to assist with murder investigations when the remains are so badly decomposed, burned, or destroyed that the standard identification methods are useless.

The following is a musical video by Howie Day with the title, "Collide".  It shows scenes from the tv series.  I hope you enjoy both the song (doesn't this sound nice?  "....The dawn is breaking, a light shining through,  You're barely waking, and I'm tangled up in you."  Or the part about being scared because of her always being on his mind?  You have to love those love songs!  *smile*), and I hope you find the tv series as entertaining as I have so far....although I'm waaaayyyyy back in Season One!  Lol.  Why didn't someone tell me??  I read her books!!  Darn it!  LOL!!!!!
